Yeah, they're not cheap. Posted by PGAero [Email] (#1143) [Profile/Gallery] (more from PGAero) on Tue, 29 May 2007 13:54:01 In Reply to: Yup, Saabpilot [Profile/Gallery] , Tue, 29 May 2007 09:29:33 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Well, first of all, I hope that Specialized can get you a frame, but I don't necessarily think they owe you one. At any rate, if all the parts on your bike are working fine (I'm assuming they are, and that it's nice stuff, an Epic Disc is a nice ride), you could look into buying just a frame, off of some on-line source for used equipment. The old bay of e or that one list owned by craig come to mind. I just finished building my first full suspension rig. Since you have all the parts, the search will be limited to a frame, and you'll want to replace cables and housing, unless you (a) get the exact same frame and (b) recently got new cables/housing. Oh, and you'll want a new chain ;o)
Anyway, I had a great time building mine. I got a used frame for about $500.00 New, they sold for $1900 as a frame only. (That includes the rear shock.)
Best of luck, and enjoy those trails.
