You will most likely be driving along Rt. 2 if you are going to PJ's, and if you need a quick bite, stop at Al's French Fries.... My absolute favorite for a quick greasy delight.
Otherwise, if you have time, definitely swing by Church Street in Burlington. Lots of good food, and fun atmosphere.
Depending on how you want to cross Lake Champlain, you can take the Burlington Ferry across, and maybe grab a bit to eat right on the water at Breakwaters (king street ferry dock).
Or, for a more scenic drive, take the Charlotte Ferry which is 20 min. south of Burlington. That takes you to Essex NY, where you can stop at the Old Dock. Good food, also right on the water. The town of Essex is very pretty too. Easy signage pointing you down rt. 9 in NY or across to 87. Rt. 9 is a fun drive!
Anyway, congrats on the purchase, and enjoy the drive.
