thing, roads are well maintained and there's lots of nice scenery. I would head "downeast" but then I like the coast. The Coast is fine down South but too crowded for some peoples taste, for me the nice part begins in Bath area. Maine Maritime Museum in Bath if old boats do anything for you, Five Islands Lobster place for luch on the Aroosic peninsular close by, Robinhood same area, then up a bit to Boothbay ride the steam train there and next day Camden/Rockport, don't miss the Camden Hills loookout or the old firetruck guy in Hope, Andy Swift. Also don't miss Owl's Head transportation Museum either.

If you get as far as Mt. Desert Is (and you should) there's the Seal Cove brass-era car museum don't miss it either.
Easy to spend time and money in Mt. Desert area, but worth it.
Have fun,
John
