Fact is it will be easy for a lawyer to put her at the scene of the crime.
Fact is also that she never reported the theft so in the eyes of the law she still had ownership of the car.
Fact is that keys seemed to be used, implying a person close to her used the car.
Fact is she was supposed to secure the keys and just as one is responsible for a dog who bites someone, she is responsible for a car that hit's someone's house.
This is an easy case for a beginner lawyer.
If she left footprints and stuff at your house, then it is even an easier case.
It is unlikely a judge will believe her crappy story. All you need is a copy of her credit card buying gas, and a video of her drving into the gas station. All gas stations have vid cameras. ALl her neighbors will know she drives, etc...
You are in better shape then you think.
