I disassembled my 1963, around 1972, to have the ball bearing crankshaft repressed after a bearing burned. Oil in the gas tank every fill up. Later came oil injection. If one does not count the balls or rings, it had about seven moving parts. Filthy, but fun.
The V4 was solidly four stroke, and not a Saab design. That, if memory serves, was British derived.
