About 2 years ago I paid $250 for my universal remote and people thought I was crazy. It's been one of the best purchases I've ever made. Currently the 880 is about $150 at amazon and Best Buy. At $150, this thing is a bargain. Like Justin said, they are very easy to program and extremely versatile. I could go on and on about how great this remote is. In fact, in our house we call it the "Marriage Saver 2000". My wife loves it because it's so simple to use and it works every time, and all the time.
Don't skimp when it comes to a universal remote. The Harmony series is one of the best. You program it online by telling it what TV, stereo, DVR, VRC, etc you have. The only drawback is that the remote is SO programmable; it will take a day or two to get the final settings to work the way you want them to.
