#2 Crush and run....
DOnt know how to explain it, it is larger grade of gravel, but once packed it holds up to plowing, and lots of weight.
I made a driveway from this to park my 80,000lb truck on.
You will want to have someone roll the surface after the gravel is spread, and you may need to pull 4-8 inches of the current driveway off depending on conditions.
If you are doing it yourself, you still may need to remove a top level.
My driveway is 6-12 inches higher than the ground on the one side, and it stays put, I had to get the rake and shovel out this spring after plowing, but if you are using snowblower, wont be a problem.
