Years ago I had a garage use an impact wrench after replacing 4 tires on a Model 99; they did not follow up with a torque wrench. When I got to work the next day 2 of the bolts (or was it nuts on the 99) were rattling around inside of the wheel cover. I reinstalled them and tightened the rest (yes, they were loose). The moral....always check with a torque wrench after using an impact wrench.
Now, I have my own compressor, impact wrench and torque wrench. I ALWAYS follow up with the torque wrench set at 90 ft/lbs after using the impact wrench. Usually, it takes an additional 1/8 to 1/4 turn with the setting I'm using on the impact wrench (3 on a scale of 1-4).
