Some very good points made. They keep coming in. They have motivated me more!
The first is merely a frame of mind, I'm no longer IdiotSam. Another is that "gigantic success" is actually plausible. Starting out has been an exercise in humility as it wasn't the instant success as I dreamed about but then a former colleague of mine did the same thing as I did and in a less competitive environment and failed (he hired too many employees and let expenses rise faster than income).
The half day comment (12 hours) is very accurate. I work 50 hours a week, a lot of it non-income producing work. Only about half of it is productive, income producing work. The other is planning, paperwork and even cleaning the toilet. So there's room to grow and someday a help wanted sign (toilet cleaner and janitor).
I suppose some of my thoughts are insecurity, some are self congratulations, and some are uncertainty of what I want (income versus lifestyle).
