Now that's headline news :)
To use the infamous David Hobbs expression, how big are your attachments? And how willing are you to walk away from the car if the price isn't to your liking?
Forget the online and printed price guides, in today's economy those are hopelessly out of date. Use a service like Auto Trader and see what dealers and private parties are asking for similar cars, then you'll know what the going retail price is. Also look at other Scooby dealers for comps. Then hold your breath and lowball as much as you dare. After a few back and forths, either you'll figure out what they need to get for the car or they will just tell you how badly they're into it.
As noted, this is probably a better time to dicker on a new car because MSRP is now an imaginary number. And insist on great captive financing as part of the deal too, and perhaps a killer tradein on whatever you're running. If you're a serious well-qualified buyer, ask for everything and that's what it will take to get your business. Then sit and watch. And you can always (slowly) walk to the car if they're not saying what you want - they are not going to let you leave.
