Do you have a clean record?
Can you afford the time?
Fight it then....I have MA plates and got a ticket in VA (where I was living at the time) for 45 on a 30....I showed up to court, asked for forgiveness, told them about the clean record and they reduced to 10 over the limit....As I understand (stand to be corrected) MA will "allow" you to have two tickets per year without insurance increase, IF they are under 10mph.
I got another one in OH (or was it PA) doing 85 on a 65...since I didn't have the time to fight it I just sent the money...It never showed up on my record....I didn't get anything for two years after that though....so, there is my answer, fight it if you have time...more than fight it, ask for mercy!!!!
