There is a good chance you'll get it dismissed just by Posted by turrbo [Email] (#8) [Profile/Gallery] (more from turrbo) on Tue, 28 Oct 2008 16:24:02 In Reply to: OT: Mass pike speeding ticket, Turbo00, Mon, 27 Oct 2008 08:34:39 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Showing up at the court date. It's too good of a chance not to try it, so go for it. The Staties may send a representative to stand in place of the ticketing officers depending on where the offense took place. The Boston Police have a dedicated officer in each court doing just that all day. Ask me how I know...
The last ticket I got was dismissed not because the officer didn't show (see above). The Registry of Motor Vehicles, being the intelligent and efficient organization that it is, never sent the paperwork on my ticket to the court, so they had nothing to go on and dismissed the ticket.
The point of my story is, just appeal the ticket, show up, and there is a good chance you'll walk away ticketless.
