Thanks for the suggestions. My XPS has 4gb RAM, 128mb dedicated graphics and a 2.4ghz Intel Core-2 Duo cpu. Seeing as it sounds like going to XP will be more hassle than it's worth I think I'll stick to Vista for a while. I have my laptop hooked up to an external monitor (dual monitors with the laptop screen), and wireless keyboard and mouse. A lot of times when I unplug everything and replug it all in it gets confused, and lots of times won't recognize my wireless mouse and keyboard set. Nothing gets them to see each other except restarting. Opening applications takes a while, especially iTunes, which runs like CRAP. It's soo slow. Some of the other stuff that pisses me off are the picture viewer, and not being able to use the XP Image Resizer powertoy. But oh well, at least it looks cool with the glass simulation and fancy animations (rolls eyes).
