Thanks Pony. I'll go on to say that my parent's 9000 ('92 9000 S = N/A) had a far better engine than the '00 Subie 2.5 Boxer.
Subie being the new Saab neglects that fact that older Saabs were always WAY "smarter" than their contemporaries, AND put together with nearly bomb-proof practices.
Subie misses on both. Now, when looked at as a thinking person's alternative to an SUV, Subie has a case going. (Although my brother's '02 Silverado has far more comfortable seats than my Subie.)
Subaru could benefit from (as a start):
Framed windows.
more sound insulation.
fantastic seats.
Again, don't get me wrong, my wife's Subie is a fine car, and it's no accident that I own it. It's also no accident that it's not our only car ;o)
