My wife and I tested a slightly used (14K miles)'05 Suby Outback and while it was fine for a short ride, we couldn't wait to get out of it after maybe 45 minutes. The ride was jiggly and the seats were back killers. Nice car overall, but it is a *small* wagon.
Then we went to the Saab store and got in a used 9-5 wagon. That sold my wife immediately (it would be her car). That done, it took a while to find the one we wanted as a CPO, but we never looked back.
Subarus are only "like Saab" in that they are so different from the rest of the stuff out there, do well in bad weather and because they are "niche-y."
