Question about block heater...used in 60-70degrees? Posted by bender [Email] (#268) [Profile/Gallery] (more from bender) on Sun, 18 Jan 2009 20:54:35 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I was reading my manual, and it was stating the advantages of using an engine block heater, and said that it was effective up to 60f-70f (15 to 20 celsius). These are warm temperatures! What does this mean? I thought engine block heaters were only to be used in the cold weather. So then, if someone really really loves their car they would always use an engine block heater (up to the above temperatures), as it will reduce engine wear in the long run, reduces fuel consumption, etc etc..? I was so surprised to see that. What do you think? Any of you guys actually do this?
