OK, so I'm taking the plunge and redoing the kitchen. New cabinets, granite counters and new stainless appliances. It seems this stuff is half price from a couple of years ago.
Cabinets I have locked in, so what is the verdict on price versus value for appliances? The guys at work swear by Bosch and Maytag, swear at Sears Kenmore. It all looks the same to me. I want to buy the most reasonable quality for the buck and hopefuly have all pieces (refridge, gas stove, dishwasher and over the stove microwave) be the same brand. Or at least cherry pick the values in high end brands. This is for a middle narket priced condo, so there is no point in spending to impress. Function over form, in the SAAB way.
GE/Fridgedare/Whirlpool/Kenmore seem the same, Bosch at the high end with JenAire, Fischer & Paycal out of reach.
Any advice?
