Relevancy?

This week I happend to rent a car and was given a Jag X type and hated every moment being in it. Ultimately it made me question what is the relevancy of Jag to today's consumers.
The thing is that for many Jag has a real meaning to them and offers attributes uniqe to the brand. To that end my question to all of you is what is Saab's unique relevance to you?
For me my first Saab was a 1972 99LE I bought used when I was 17. The car had a terrible engine in it, but in working on that car it taught be everything I know about Saabs. From the moment I drove it however it was the seats, proportion of the car and that balance between refined and rugged.
Today for me it is still all about the seats, nothing else feels as good. Also design is a factor. German cars are too clinical inside, all thier poetry is mechanical. I respect them but dont identify with them.
Your thoughts - what is Saab's relevance to you?
