Short of GM keeping it going I'd expect Saab is toast. Even if some in GM would like to I don't know how attractive that is to the larger organization. I think it is a possibility but the official plan B if they can't sell is to wind it down. Hard sell to retain I'd think even if it makes some sense.
OK the other viable looking option at the moment is that they sell it to one of the Chinese car companies. But that doesn't change the earlier statement: Short of GM keeping it going it is toast. Unless someone steps up with real cash and an attractive bid I think GM wouldn't be all that quick to go here anyway.
Picture should be much clearer in a week or so. This isn't over yet but the hour is bloody late. Personally I'd say GM should do a 50/50 deal with the Kseg Group as I think Kseg still wants in but the deep end is just too far over their heads. Not sure either party would be anxious to embrace this regardless but aside from the above options not clear who would be waiting to step-in.
