If it is like in Volvo's case from 99 to 2003 where they use an inferior rubber in the belt so that it started to develop dry cracks LONG before the 105K regular interval, you might have to replace it at 60K and up like I have done on many Volvo's.
As a side not, a friend of mine running his own shop. I couldn't believe my eyes when he had an Audi quattro something in the shop and replaced the timing belt.
Like Bill Homer says, the whole front with intercoolers, radiator, head lights, everything had to come off.
So I guess you better replace everything that could possibly go wrong and use superior parts in the process.
