This is where GM screwed up with Saab. They came out with an SUV when gas went to $4 and got rid of the hatchback. If GM had built the SUV sooner and then came out with another hatchback then Saab would still be good today. The reason Saab is almost gone (fingers crossed they're not) is because GM has bunch of morrons running the show. Notice the last time Saab made a profit was 2002. The reason being it was the last year of the Hatch. The are a million sadans on the road and not very many hatchbacks. Hopefully GM will smartin up and sell Saab to someone who can make the company what it should be.
Just my 2 cents,
Rich
