so true. GM couldn't care less about SAAB, any of it's employees, or the hundreds of thousands of loyal owners worldwide. what i don't get is the Vauxhall/Holden part of this equasion. Vauxhall is only sold in GB, Holden in Australia & Asia (fact check, please)? Opel is basically Europe-Asia? SAAB, however is a world-wide brand, one of the few european marques still operating in North America. Why on earth would GM not consider shuttering Vauxhall/Holden (since SAAB is already present in Britain & Austral-asia, right?) and making SAAB/Opel the Cadillac/Chevrolet equivalent world wide. Instead, they have these great delusions of grandeur for Cadillac going to Europe and all the rest of this convoluted mess! I would imagine Britons and Australians have as much attachment to their respective brands as we do to SAAB. Ultimately, SAAB is the sacrificial lamb, unless a last minute agreement is reached. If extinction is SAABs destiny, all the better than watching it slowly choked off by the Giant Monster. Sorry for ranting - eloquence just escapes me right now!
