i don't know what my problem is, but i must have one. in the past 2.5 years, i've received 3 speeding tickets for around 17mph over each time. that is terrible(!!)and i'm old enough to know better. the first was for 72/55 zone (that was actually just about to change to a 65 zone)in my wife's aero wagon. the second was 53/35 2 months ago, and then today i just got another one for 52/35 in my viggen...ahhggg!! no excuses but i do consider myself a safe/courteous driver, and all 3 times i wasn't driving carelessly or pushing the limits of safety. it seems like i'm going way slower than i am. I think the problem is not with me (NO, not me!) but more in the dynamics of the viggen and the aero. In both cars you can be at 50mph in seconds, and not really have that "awareness" of speed. maybe i just can't handle the H/O turbo temptation any more. i have a 99ems that makes me very speed-aware. maybe that is the ticket. is there any point in begging the judge for mercy? the fine is $80/2points. there is a safe driver course in my state that can be taken once every 3 years to knock off like 4 pts. so i'll prolly be signing up for that.
