So what's 'normal?'
I deal with finite element models (NASTRAN et al) for a living and I know the analytical elements you select, the 'solution' methodology you select, and the boundary conditions and constants you use -- derived from measurements, test, guesstimates, whatever -- will drive the answer.
Atmospheric and climate predictions are closer to computational fluid dynamics (CFD) which is a whole order or magnitude more complicated than any static or nonlinear structural analysis I've ever performed. So count me as a skeptic on any of the doom and gloom predictions eminating from the so-called peer reviewed scientific community, especially on the negative effect of 'carbon.' There are bucket loads of group think in all businesses and the scientific community is no exception, etc.
I feely admit, however that winters were worse when I was a kid in the 60s. The snow was always up to my knees. Of course, I was only three feet tall at the time...
