Nothing wrong with Doctors trying to make a living. What we need is getting government out of the way:
1. Remove medical certification requirement for practice . . . so anyone can practice medicine. Doctors can still form their own peer-review boards that issue "certifications" but there shouldn't be gunvernment enforcing the medical monopoly at the point of the gun.
2. Hospitals shouldn't be required to accept patients just because they showed up at the door, nor should they receive any tax money. Some hospitals may choose to take all comers, and do their own fund raising based on that fact, and run it as a charitable hospital instead of a for-profit one.
3. Hospitals should be required to publish all the price list . . . so that patients can shop around.
Can you imagine what food bills would be if all restaurants are required to take all-comers and never show their prices until the meal is eaten?? and the government promising the pay more than half of all diners? Of course the price of meals would go through the roof!
