and I have found that when it comes to tires YMMV, for sure. I gave up trying to understand what all these tire ratings and comparisons mean. I find the more research I do the more confused I get. So, once I find a tire brand or two that work for me, I tend to stick with them. Over the years I have used primarily Michelin and Bridgestone. I tend lean toward Bridgestone because they (for me) make a great tire and tend to be a little less expensive than Michelin. Got a set of Potenza 760 sport summer tire last Spring and they wear very well. They are a heavier tire with an XL rating and I think that is what makes them wear longer. I just took off my Winterforce (Firestone/Bridgestone) snows and after 4 Winters, I still have one more Winter left in them. Not bad for $70 a tire. Not quiet in the least, but they do their job. Also, lets me appreciate my Summer wheels a lot after the switch.
I apologize for any late snow in CT. Always seems to happen after I do my change over too early. I just was getting an itch to switch that I couldn't resist. Working from home the next 3 weeks, so what the hell....
