I've gotten lots and lots of mixed feelings on this. Some say not to bother with it, and some say to do so.
I've decided that I WILL be putting oil in the cylinders BEFORE I store it, however I hadn't been able to this time. So, to alleviate starting as it (the engine) will be oil deprived, I want to put some oil in there, not much.
This will be the third winter I do this, and I've had no issues. When you say rust...in the cylinders, and that there's no telling how much of it has formed, well to be honest that sounds like a disaster right there. If any rust formed on the walls, I cannot imagine what would be left of the engine. I did a complete oil change before storage and took it for a nice long drive.
I will be doing the best I can for my engine, but this is where I am right now so please I only need positive advice.
Thanks, Bender
