I am planning to install a shed in my backyard.
Looking at different options, so far I like what HomeDepot is offering the most. It seems like their sheds offer good value for the price. Plus, the process seems hassle-free. You order, you get a permit, you wait and they deliver and install it. Sheds are made by a company called Sheds USA. They offer lifetime warranty.
Does anyone have direct experience with HomeDepot/Sheds USA? Can anyone offer any tips? In particular, I am wandering about foundation. I spoke with Sheds USA and they claim that as long as the ground is firm and level, I don't need to put in a foundation. This is obviously attractive because it reduces my cost. My backyard, unfortunately, is very firm and rocky. The soil is very poor for growing plants but it is rock firm -- good for a heavy shed.
I am planning on getting one of their basic small sheds with vinyl siding.
