>>It doesn't sound like you have heard of or seen this tire.<<
I haven't ridden them but I've ridden similar tires. I have heard of them. On a bike forum I frequent, a poster recently posted about exactly those tires, and asked if he needed to use the 100psi on the sidewall, which was beating him up, or could he use less pressure. The unananimous opinion of the experienced cyclists on the board was that the 100 was a maximum, and the tires should be run at considerably lower pressure.
>>These are street slicks, I never took them off-pavement.<<
The OP indicated that his riding would include dirt roads and trails.
You may have found the tires fine. I've ridden a long time, and I thought many things were fine until I became aware of a better alternative. If Noel is interested in your suggestion, I suggest that he test those tires on the roughest riding he wants to do and compare them with an alternative suggested by the no-nothings at the bike shop.
Same as all of the late-teen, early-20s experts behind the counter looking at me funny. So, how can you form an opinion? Also, did you read my post? I've ridden them for thousands of miles at 100 PSI, no brick feeling, no torture. These are street slicks, I never took them off-pavement.
