Thank you Mark for the response. My wife owns a 9-5 and soo much wants to love it but it disspoints more than it gives her pleasure. I currently have a 74 Sonnett in my garage and an A4 (2004, 3.0 Quattro). I try to hate the Audi all day long but it just delivers like SAAB used to back in the Scania days.

The Audi is solid, fit'n finish is still impressive, and the car's smooth v6 (3.0) and wonderful road feel put a smile on my pale, middle aged face. I am no fan of Audi either. Audi corporate is arrogant, and Audi mechanics charge $$$ for timing belt, water pump because is so bloody difficult to access.

The current SAAB (GM) customer service is laughable and offer little or no support (or solutions) to the customer (from my experience). At least Audi offers solutions and are knowledgeable. With SAAB (GM)I might as well have been calling WalMart customer service.

I spent last week shuttling my grandkids around in the Audi and following the Audi drive I got into my wife's 9-5 (2005)to take her car for a tire rotation.

I asked myself if GM was on quaaludes when deciding to use Chevrolet Cavalier (quality, or lackthereof) plastic parts. What is with the metallic growl coming from the 4 cylinder mill? Reminds me of the abrasive Quad 4 used in an early 90's Oldsmobile or Chevy Corsica, (yet I said it, tears welling).

My wife likes the 9-5 because of the seats and the visibility out the front wind screen. The suspension on the 9-5 (we bought it with less than 38k on the odometer 2 years ago) has a bad case of Parkinson's disease.
