Umm, first of all, Haldex Traction AB has SAAB roots, and the latest system (4th generation) was co-developed with SAAB Automobile AB. The Haldex system has received brilliant reviews. I don't know where this statement about Audi's Quattro blowing it out of the water comes from, many technical reports have described Haldex/XWD as technically superior to Quattro. Reliability?? XWD just same out in the TurboX, what issues -- if any -- have you heard of with regard to the XWD system? SAAB's XWD is about as SAAB and Swedish of a new technology that has come out in recent years.
Lastly, you pretty much destroy your own credibility when you start making comments such as calling the original 9-5 a POS and a "glorified SAABrlet Turbo with SAAB dressing". The current 9-5 is well past its expiration date, but in its time it was a well received saloon. I definitely have no qualms picking up a used 9-5 Aero.
