interesting to see that the 2010 v70 gained about 400lbs of weight from 2009 to 2010... that's the second engine they put in I guess!! ha! both of those are the V6 which looks like the only engine option going back to 2007? when there was a T5 + the car weighed another 200lbs less (3296lbs curb weight)...
I do agree that the xc70 is in essence the same car as the v70 (just raised + with added plastic etc), so it *shouldn't* weigh too much more (aside from differences like AWD)...
cars sure are getting fatty these days!
the ride 210mm height might make it a worse handling car though (compare to the typical 150mm for a car like the v70). 9-3X I think is at 165mm (but I'm not 100% sure of this, as I also read 35mm raised beyond the 9-3, so is the 9-3 130mm vs 150mm of all other recent non-Aero Saabs?)... 9-3X is sounding more and more about right for us (from the current model lineup)...
