The butt always knows

I spent last week on the road. For two days of city driving I was in a brand new 2012 Focus SE hatchback. Then, for a 2-day 800 mile highway trip I piloted a loaded-up 2010 Prius that has just 6,000 miles on the odo.
Wow, was I glad to get home to my 8 year old, 100k mile 9-5 Arc wagon.
The Focus is a fine small car with many virtues. The seats aren't one of them! The Prius wows on mpg and infotech in the cabin. But again, not so much with the seats. After 800 miles I couldn't wait to get my 6'2" body out of that thing.
My 9-5's seats are so far superior, even after eight years of use, that the difference is simply amazing. It may not be fair to compare a $38,000 SAAB to a $17,000 Ford or a $25,000 Prius... if they are all new. That's not the case here. The Ford and the Prius *are* new, and their comfort came up so very short of ye olde SAAB.
Appreciating what I have,
--Dan
