The original deal made a lot of sense, with Youngman and Pang Da being part owners. This would have avoided this issue with General Motors for the most part. Maybe VM knew all along that the 100% option would run into these issues, and it gives a chance of going back to a partnership. I think this is preferred. I think Pang Da is a great partner for selling cars in China, Youngman I don't quite trust... having them as a local partner for Chinese market production is good enough.
Either way, would be nice to see this ridiculous drama come to an end and SAAB get back to the business of a long-life of building excellent cars...
