To me, all the comments seemed typical of average auto writers' impressions of a car: a mix of objective and subjective observations, both positive and negative. At least they aren't clear advertorials like Car & Driver does about BMWs.
Few cars these days are really terrible, fewer still are truly remarkable. The 9-5 competes well on features and amenities with others in its price range, but like a Bimmer, Audi or Mercedes, it is not a perfect car, nor is it truly remarkable in anyway. But then neither is anything else in it's price range.
And, BTW, Autoweek has been around for at least 40 years, so I think it qualifies as a real auto publication.
