The winter wheels on my '07 9-5 Aero are 16 inch 9-3ss wheels. The standard 9-5 wheels have a 49mm positive offset. I'm positive that the 9-3ss wheels have less of an offset, possibly 47mm which means that they will actually sit out further from the brake caliper. theoretically clearing the inside of the wheel spoke without a problem However, you'd have to make sure that the inside of the rim doesn't contact anything on the caliper. I bought my winter wheel setup from the dealer when I purchased the car. Even though they were specifically "not recommended", the service manager told me in so many words that the disclaimer is included because the offset is different from factory specs. Keep in mind that the wheel offset on a NG900 or 9-3 was 49mm offset as standard, but 42mm on the Viggen. I ran a 41mm offset Ronal wheel on my 2000 9-3 with no problems whatsoever, nor have I had any sort of an issue with the 16 inch 93ss wheels I'm using on my 9-5.
