I thought most phones worked with both CDMA and GSM; I also thought that those were old technology, superseded by the 3G and 4G designations, but as I said I'm not up to date on phones. The carrier is Telus, who we both despise but are stuck with for another year. She didn't particularly like the phone, and a search on the internet reveals a lot of people have the same problem with it (touch screen goes crazy, starts self-pressing keys).
