It depends if she likes the old one that bit the dust. Just buy it on ebay if she does like it.

Recently I broke a screen on an LG Chocolate and the contract has the ID numbers of that phone. So I bought a used one on ebay and transferred the good screen to the base of my phone. Works like a charm. Next time I'll just buy an iPhone and be done with it.
