I bought mine in 2009, for a little over $200. After the first time I washed it, rain would go straight through, carrying small dirt, pollen, etc with it. I would take the cover off, and see it coated in dust. NICE. The manufacturer says if you wash the cover, it will lose its water repellant properties. Great design.
I washed it for about the fifth time a month ago, and put it on my C900... where it remained for the last month. I took it off this afternoon and found that the cover had caused abrasions in the paint all along the passenger side of the roof. It looks like this is where there is a line of stitches in the car cover. I keep the car outside, under a car port. It hasn't been windy, but apparently the cover was moving JUST ENOUGH to put these swirl marks all along the car. I know these weren't here when I put the cover on a month ago. They are extremely noticeable. I hope this can be buffed out somehow. DAMMIT.
