Read that again... I bet admission to the air show is $20. Rides cost more than that.
I heard a story about female ferry pilots & the B-29. Before the B-29 was deployed it developed a reputation for being dangerous & difficult to fly. AAF wanted to crush that rumor because some pilots didn't want to be assigned to B-29 duty.
When they first delivered them out to the Pacific, they looked for the smallest, prettiest women pilots for the ferry flights. And they made sure they were seen by as many people as possible when they landed & climbed out of the plane. Combat pilots' egos took over from there.
