franchise is nearby. They can completely replace all the cells in a battery pack with new for a little less than buying a new pack. For example, they charge $34 plus tax for 10 sub-C NiCad cell replacement in a DeWalt 12-Volt pack. Takes about 2 or 3 days. Not too bad, since these 1.8 A-hr batteries are over $5 each at electronic supply houses.
