To our North (and South) of the border Saab friends. Our meeting with the postal service yesterday bore some fruit. We're just released an updated shipping schedule for Canada & Mexico as well as the remainder of the world that starts shipping via USPS International Priority Mail at $29.99 with an additional discount available for orders over $299 to lower the price to $19.99. Brokerage is included in this shipping price and duties and taxes must be paid upon receipt.

To get this very low initial price international shipments now start assessing overweight at 5 pounds rather than 15 pounds. Since about 40% of shipments rate at 5 pounds or less I wanted to give the $19.99 option as much as possible. Customers to Canada and Mexico especially need to pay close attention to prices on the web site. The price for weight for USPS is actually significantly higher than the price for FedEx so for really heavy shipments FedEx will actually be more economical. I'm going to clean up the site again by Friday to eliminate the slower option when it is more expensive but I didn't have the time in this go around.

I hope that this helps and if we can push some volume through it then I can bring the rates down slightly again. It's the post office so there isn't much to get perhaps an additional 10%.
