What's all this hating on UPS?
Multiple surveys I've seen, and my personal experience is the same, indicates that Fedex ground is the industry leader when it comes to damaging packages. As in, they damage more than anyone else.
Also in my experience shipping & receiving stuff personally (it's not what I do for a living) USPS is the best at misdelivering things, with Fedex a close second. Although my memory isn't the best, I can't recall UPS ever misdelivering a package.
Many years ago I did work at a store where we received a lot of damaged items via UPS - it turned out to be the local driver who loved throwing things off the truck and he was eventually fired.
