This is not meant to be sarcastic or anything, just a question... is there a reason one would not do 5000 mile full synthetic oil changes on an Audi (presumably with a turbo engine)? iirc, at least some of the VW/Audi engines were also prone to sludge... all turbos need a little more care and feeding, no?
I do every 3k km dinosaur oil on our c900's and 5k km Mobil 1 on the 9-5... If I am late on one of those, worst case I am close to the "mile" rating instead. Might seem a little wasteful, but oil is cheap compared to motor repair... Just because it says one can go 10k in the manual doesn't mean one should!
