I'm not sure where you were going with this, but if you're talking about the equipment on the car, a few points:
1) not all SPGs got the "Lowered and re-calibrated" suspension 85s & 86s had the standard height springs from the factory.
2) ALL C900 Convertibles had anti-roll bars. The 1986 and 1987 CVs were all turbos (the anti-roll bars were standard from 1986), and from 1988, with the 9000 wheels & brakes, all 900s got anti-roll bars, even the ones with non-turbo motors.
3) NONE of the C900 Convertibles ever left the factory in Uusikaupunki with the "lowered and re-calibrated" suspension. this includes the 1988 SiS and the 1991 SE versions. Standard turbo springs and shocks only. This comes straight from the Saab USA manager for the Convertible program.
As for what happened, it looks like a slick road, so it could be any one of a thousand reasons why the car veered in front of the semi. Possibly even including the infamous, though usually benign, broken lower A arm...
I've seen enough wrecked CVs in junkyards to know that if I owned one again, I'd never try to make it faster, or go hooning about like an idiot. One wreck that sticks in my mind hit a tree square on the driver's door (there was still bark in the folded metal). The now much narrower seat was perched OVER the center console. The sill was bent in as far as the steering column. In contrast, the rear seat area was still as wide as it was before, the huge box sections under and behind the rear seat keeping the B-pillars apart very well. However, I sincerely hope nobody was in the left rear seat, as they would have had their legs crushed, at the (very) least.
