1,000 gallon Septic tank is common Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Sun, 16 Jun 2013 06:20:08 In Reply to: Re: Septic tank, vvack0matic [Profile/Gallery] , Sat, 15 Jun 2013 20:22:23 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The 'black water' they remove is about 8 pounds per gallon, the solids on the bottom obviously weigh more. The empty truck weight will be higher than the weight of what they remove.
Assuming your driveway is typical residential 4-inch concrete it will 'probably' be OK. Don't even try it on a typical residential asphalt driveway! The apron at the end of the drive should be 6-inches of concrete and capable of supporting much more weight. I say it should be because our house had only an 1-1/2 inch thick concrete apron!
