Good reasons! I did have a problem when driving the 9K across the country (failing PS pump) but was able to drive 3 hours to an indy (adding fluid every 20-30 mins!). So I was lucky. But if well-maintained, a Saab should be OK even as the miles stack up.
But you gotta go with your comfort zone. OTOH, what's to say that a newer 'vert, with 40K won't have an issue? If you maintain preventively you can *usually* avoid unplanned tow jobs.
And travel with a list of indy shops, just in case! And maybe some tools.
