are they round? Posted by Snowmobile [Email] (#686) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Snowmobile) on Sun, 27 Oct 2013 18:39:58 In Reply to: These are Saab rims, MI-Roger [Profile/Gallery] , Sun, 27 Oct 2013 16:46:52 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I think it depends a lot on how fussy you want to be about them, and, along with that, how careful you are not to scratch rims. Our rims "seem to get scraped" from time to time so I don't worry much about curb rash. The main thing is to make sure they are 1) round, and 2) not dented inside edge or out... nobody likes leaky rims. Then, if the scrapes are not too bad, you may be able to make them look good on your own for not too much cost/effort. I've had pretty good luck doing a spray can paint job on a set of winter rims, and will do the same on our summers before mounting new summer tires... These actually have a lot of curb rash now. It's disgusting but repairable... painting can be a bit of fun because one can adjust the tint subtly (or not subtly if that is your thing)... (I passed a subie wrx today with bright green rims - looked completely ridiculous)...
the bigger issue is that you would need 2 more of those rims from somewhere. I think they would look awesome on a viggen!
