Depends on what grade of perfection you are after Posted by Bill Homer [Email] (#3427) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Bill Homer) on Sun, 27 Oct 2013 18:21:37 In Reply to: Can these rims be salvaged?, MI-Roger [Profile/Gallery] , Sun, 27 Oct 2013 12:52:37 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have fixed worse looking rims than those. Judicious use of JB Weld, spot putty and sand paper, sprayed over with some primer and silver wheel paint made them reasonably good. Knowing that our "other driver" in the house has a habit of curbing wheels in urban parking leaves me not looking for perfection.
At only three miles away, I might be tempted to take a look. Worst case: aluminum is worth about $1/pound and those wheels are probably 20 - 25 pounds each.
(I'm being asked to select ALL the images of floppy disks - what are those?)
