To get it back to the original condition is a lot of labor by a body shop, and you'll need parts and paint, so in that sense it's totaled.
But you may find that some frame straightening and a new hatch may get the back end to be pretty acceptable. The front will need a bunch of parts, but most should be readily available used.
One daughter's 9K was rear ended and the trunk floor was distorted. But we got the hatch to latch correctly and drove the car for 4 more years with no issues. Next owner never knew.
If you really like the car and can settle for less than perfect, get as much fixed as is reasonable and keep on rolling. Depending on what's reasonable for you, it doesn't have to be a 3rd car.
As nice an example as it is, it's still a 14-year old Saab (almost 15), and is not a special or collectible car in the sense of having a lot of value to anyone except us Saabheads.
Fix, drive and enjoy. Or move those killer wheels to another Saab!
